i'm a-gonna be in twubble when william hears of this...

[whisper]i let them chop off my hair![/whisper]

least it reduced the inverse-triangle effect (although didn't entirely remove it).

also: things what amy SHOULD NOT KNOW, given current $$ situation: CORNSTALK HAS 50% OFF EVERYTHING! woot!
'sok. my card should turn up tomorrow. please, universe?

ed: *sulks* does LJ not recognise [i]?

ed 2: thankee Sir Random :D italics issue fixed.

You LET them CUT off your HAIR???

and LJ recognises <i>, <b>, <u>, etc. It's HTML, not BBCode.

so i need to change the shape of my brackets?

yes. i did. i still have... some of it... they took about two and a half inches off the front, which i guess is ok because the back was three inches shorter than the front anyway. still, that's years of dedicated hair-growing down the drain. *looks at photo of us three from the bush dance, whimpers* all that hair... :(

But WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

because it was a disastrous wreck and hadn't been cut all year...
so i figured, obviously pruning time.
its still shoulder-length. not silly enough to go back to a bob.

of course, if only i was artistic... college art comp is on and Joh Bailey has offered to style the hair of the winner...

*reads entry and subsequent comments*
*retrieves bush dance photo of three of us*
*eyebrows raise themselves*
*whistles softly under breath*

And wow.... fifty percent...! Just about any time a bookstore has a sale is a dangerous time to be in the vicinity..... =P

yeah... its sitting about half an inch below my shoulders at the longest bit... 'sgoing to take some getting used to.

fifty % indeed... (Cornstalk is a trendy-style second hand bookshop, meaning they're in decent condition but overpriced... but with 50% off...)

it'll probably still be on sale on saturday :P just two minutes walk up king street...

Hmm... am having very dangerous thoughts.... and I have money, too.... and I am suffering from a deficiency/abysmal lack of books for Fiji, so..... *eyebrows raised in interest, not surprise* =D

Much in the way of Pratchetts?

um... i think there were some.

i can take you to Goulds, too, if you like. that is A Dangerous Place Indeed. Ground floor about the size of two tennis courts, mezzanine above, and everything so jam packed with books that you'd have trouble getting a fat man through.

only problem is that in Goulds, as in Fisher Library, oxygen seems to have been forsaken for Pure Distilled Essence of Old Book, and after twenty minutes or so i start getting interestingly light in the head.

*is very glad I didn't spend $10 on used pristine copy of Michael Crichton's latest (State of Fear)... although, granted, the book retails normally for $30, but still....*

wait... how did you know CornStalk was a bookshop, anyway?

You would like to know, wouldn't you? =P

To tell the truth, though, the answer as to how isn't really that interesting or mystifying.

you guessed?

come on... i resent the notion that the only sale i get exited about is a book sale... clothing sales are equally dangerous. STATIONERY sales are terrible.

Nope, even less unpredictable.

*whispers* I just Googled! (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=cornstalk) it...

and when a man and his computer love each other very much then they come together and form a web site which is indexed by Google
