least it reduced the inverse-triangle effect (although didn't entirely remove it).

'sok. my card should turn up tomorrow. please, universe?
ed: *sulks* does LJ not recognise [i]?

and LJ recognises <i>, <b>, <u>, etc. It's HTML, not BBCode.

yes. i did. i still have... some of it... they took about two and a half inches off the front, which i guess is ok because the back was three inches shorter than the front anyway. still, that's years of dedicated hair-growing down the drain. *looks at photo of us three from the bush dance, whimpers* all that hair... :(

so i figured, obviously pruning time.
its still shoulder-length. not silly enough to go back to a bob.
of course, if only i was artistic... college art comp is on and Joh Bailey has offered to style the hair of the winner...

*retrieves bush dance photo of three of us*
*eyebrows raise themselves*
*whistles softly under breath*
And wow.... fifty percent...! Just about any time a bookstore has a sale is a dangerous time to be in the vicinity..... =P

fifty % indeed... (Cornstalk is a trendy-style second hand bookshop, meaning they're in decent condition but overpriced... but with 50% off...)
it'll probably still be on sale on saturday :P just two minutes walk up king street...

Much in the way of Pratchetts?

i can take you to Goulds, too, if you like. that is A Dangerous Place Indeed. Ground floor about the size of two tennis courts, mezzanine above, and everything so jam packed with books that you'd have trouble getting a fat man through.
only problem is that in Goulds, as in Fisher Library, oxygen seems to have been forsaken for Pure Distilled Essence of Old Book, and after twenty minutes or so i start getting interestingly light in the head.

To tell the truth, though, the answer as to how isn't really that interesting or mystifying.

interestingexciting or mystifying.no subject
come on... i resent the notion that the only sale i get exited about is a book sale... clothing sales are equally dangerous. STATIONERY sales are terrible.

*whispers* I just Googled! (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=cornstalk) it...
