Date: 2008-03-24 06:23 am (UTC)There's no such thing as using Firefox for too long.
In other news - I've fixed my CD and DVD burning software. I hope! Also it appears that I only have just over a gig of music stored on my computer. Lots of pictures though (and by pictures I of course mean cat macros....what?).
No, I *don't* have over a gig of macros, that would be WEIRD. ^_^

Date: 2008-03-24 09:22 am (UTC)am also regretting having used endnote. i think it's overrated - very useful when it's working, but i'm totally paranoid it'll screw up, and if it does, very hard to fix. this is particularly relevant as i don't know what's going to happen to my files when i open them with proper word again, properly linked with endnote again...
sorry if you haven't used endnote that would make no sense at all.

Date: 2008-03-24 09:39 am (UTC)i'm thinking of making my own database in excel. the main advantage of endnote is being able to insert the whole citation right away - if i just note down the number of the row in my spreadsheet and the page number, i'll also be able to copy across directly when tidying up. that sounds foolproof doesn't it? that way i could also copy & paste sections without fucking up numbering and ibids and what not.

Date: 2008-04-01 02:51 pm (UTC)you should try it sometime. ctrl+t can be nagging and inefficient as you either end up using two hands thus interrupting valuable typing seconds, or the same result occurs when trying to extend the one hand while preparing the other for more wordsmith action. alt/ctrl + entercan be done with two digits positioned much closer together, you can even throw in a quick shift-hold to start your next sentence with your left hand.
enjoy. rawr
