Crusade & Jihad lecture this morning- John's talking about chronicles of the Crusades. Gets to William of Tyre, starts enthusing about him.
Student whose name I can't remember: You mean your husband?
John: My what?
Student: Metaphorically speaking... you never stop talking about him.
*John looks at her, shrugs, and goes on*. He tells us about Book 19 chapter 12, which has long been missing from the book. Apparently his good friend Someone-Or-Other recently recovered said chapter, in the Vatican archives, and it's going to be in aforementioned friend's new edition of Deeds Done Beyond the Sea. Woot.
Book 19 Chapter 12 is all about Will's (yes, i too have developed a nickname-basis relationship with the Tyran chronicler...) university days.
John: We know he came back to Tyre in *insertcenturyheresincei'veforgotten* sixty-five, because he tells us that he spent twenty years studying the life-giving doctrines of philosophy, science, music and so forth. It's basically the Liberal Arts. Yes, that's right. He did a BA for twenty years. How many of you, even if it were free, would do that?
*looks around. sees a hand* Right. Amy would. Would anyone ELSE study a BA for twenty years?

David and I watched the last ep. of Firefly today. :):) much goodness.
Much goodness is also to be found in choc-orange Tim Tams, and white tea.
Not so good is David leaving uni :(. I might have to make a new friend!

Top brace came off yesterday. Woke up this morning, jaw aching and head icky, as if I'd had the silly thing tightened. WTF?
I've also used more wax just today than I normally use in a month of braces-wearing.
