Also in the quest to wear more brown:




Not succeeding at 'wearing brown with things other than red', particularly since my choice for coat/jacket today is the brown blazer or a red jacket. But not too bad, I think.

Skirt: hand-me-down. It reaches to mid-calf, in uneven lengths.
Top: Via Oxfam shop in Bristol
Bandeau: black, via a very cheap store in Cairns the name of which I forget
Necklace: Free gift from Modcloth



There are also brown fishnets and black shoes with this outfit. Suspect my feet may freeze.

A question: what do you think of wood jewelery? It can be very pretty, and would help you tie more brown into your wardrobe. I've recently been seeing some very pretty round wooden disks, strung on either "invisible" plastic twine or on copper beading wire (in various configurations), at local craft fairs. I wonder if it's perhaps heralding or chasing a trend? Anyway, it's something you might want to consider -- would go very well with the red, the purple, the brown, and (of course) your skin and hair.

I haven't got any but I suspect I'd like it! I'm trying to use the browns I already *have*, but I do also need a few more long-term investmenty pieces of jewellery... hmm...
