Apr. 23rd, 2006 07:55 pmI mean, we are all put under all this pressure to be special or unusual in some way, but by definition most of us have to be ordinary - so why beat yourself up over it? It doesn't make any sense. I think in a way the pressure to be special robs us of our inherent dignity as human beings - if we are all created equal then we don't need to be special. And it's tremendously liberating to be able to accept yourself as ordinary.
