highlyeccentric I have DW invite codes if anyone wants them. :D
I happen to really like DW, support its business, and am pleased with its business ethos so far. One of the things I'm particularly pleased with is that Denise took time to make a statement of support for LJ in the latest news post, and offer advice on how dual-platform DW/LJ users can avoid making things worse for LJ right now.
DDOS attacks suck. I in no way believe this is LJ's fault (it's possible they could have been quicker off the mark at providing information about the initial outage, but that doesn't make the attacks themselves LJ's fault). I'm not offering these codes because I believe LJ have failed this time: simply because DW is a great place to back up your journal* and hang out when LJ is down.
