Ingredients:
250 grams (give or take) somen noodles
2 or 3 chicken thigh fillets, sliced finely
Cooking oil
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried ginger
5-6 small button mushrooms, sliced
1 tin bamboo shoots, drained
1 bunch chinese broccoli, roughly chopped
1 stalk celery, sliced
1 tin bean sprouts, drained
1 sweet pepper, or half a capsicum, chopped
1 stalk shallots/spring onions (the green ones, not the small brown french onions), sliced
4 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp salt
Pepper, to taste
Stuff you do:
1. Cook your somen noodles, drain, set aside
2. Stir-fry chicken, set aside
3. Place garlic, ginger and bamboo shoots in pan; stir-fry until aromatic
4. Add mushroom, broccoli, and celery. Stir-fry until broccoli has wilted
5. Add bean sprouts, pepper/capsicum, and spring onion. Stir fry for several minutes.
6. Return chicken to pan.
7. Add sauces, sugar, salt and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are sauced.
8. Add somen. Stir through vegetables.
9. NOM.
In other news, omigod, SOMEN NOODLES. Where have you been all my life? Ok, fine, on the shelf, where I refused to try you. I AM SORRY. I REGRET MY ANTI-NOODLE PREJUDICES. CAN YOU FORGIVE ME? NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN.
