The young spokesperson of the principal party of the Hungarian extremist right photographed himself and filmed [himself] during Gay Pride Toronto in 2008. [This is] provoking an internal crisis within the group, [which is] particularly homophobic.

La publication de ces photos, la semaine dernière par un tabloïd hongrois, a fait l'effet d'une bombe au sein de Jobbik, le «Mouvement pour une meilleure Hongrie». Ce parti catho fondamentaliste s'est illustré pour sa rhétorique violente à l'égard des Roms, des étrangers et des homosexuels, notamment. Et la formation ne se limite pas aux débats politiques: elle dispose aussi d'une milice, la «Garde hongroise», récemment interdite. Ses membres s'était attaqués à la Gay Pride de Budapest en 2008, déclenchant de violents affrontements. C'est cette année là, justement, que Király paradait dans les rues de la métropole canadienne.

The publication of these photos, last week by a Hungarian tabloid, had the effect of a bomb within Jobbik, the "Movement for a Better Hungary". This Catholic fundamentalist party is known for its violent rhetoric against the Romani, foreigners and homosexuals, notably. And the group is not limited to political debates: it also has a militia, the "Hungarian Guard", recently prohibited. Its members had attatcked at Budapest Gay Pride in 2008, triggering violent affronts. It was that same year, exactly, that Kiraly paraded in the streets of the Canadian metropolis.

The scandal burst indeed because Jobbik is in the lists for the parliamentary elections of the 11th of April. It could obtain up to 18 percent of the voit, according to polls. [Note: I gather that means 11 April next year - pourrait being present conditional tense]
