highlyeccentricI am making sooooooup! According to the wise and respectable instructions of the Country Women's Association Soups and Stews Cookbook. And... ok, I'm probably mangling Marjorie Whatshername's recipe for potato and leek soup, by means of a) cooking it in a slow cooker and b) adding ginger and swapping cayenne for paprika and chilli powder and b) messing around with the proportions.
And I have decided I am too going to buy the Women's Weekly Cookbook, even though my mother thinks twenty dollars is far too much to ask for such an old book. It's a collectors' item! Also it has the recipe for Viennese Biscuits and vanilla slice. OM NOM NOM.
