Everybody repeat after me

I will NOT buy a second-hand copy of the Women's Weekly Original Cookbook from nineteen seventy-something. I will NOT. For reason of:
1. I don't cook that many things out of it, and those things I do use I have COPIED OUT OF MY MOTHER'S BOOK.
and
2. If I want it for the collectors' value, at some point in my life, I will probably inherit both the Women's Weekly and the Ellen Sinclair from my mother, and at least one of them belonged to her grandmother before her, and therefore they are cooler than any old second-hand book.
*twitches*
It would only cost me about twenty dollars...
