Once upon a time, there suddenly burst into existance, fully grown and with a well developed personalitiy and background, a young lady named Hortensia. Here I shall account for you the tale of her breif hours on this earth.
So... at about midnight last night, Sass appeared in my room, having psychically sensed that i'd once again managed to cover such topics as sex, contraception, and my cleavage, with a guy, without thinking at all about the appropriateness of such topics and said audience. She insisted on taking over the MSN conversation in question and submitting David to an hour or so of interrogation to protect my morals and determine his suitability to associate with me. Which was highly amusing and very embarrassing.
And today I took Sass to bible study with me, where she and Emma got along like a house on fire and a) talked about gender-studies related things like being in love with an image and not a person, emma's case of penis envy, the reclaiming of the term 'cunt', and so forth. they also b) discovered their unity of interests, and ganged up on me regarding my love life, which as an aside note is really pissing me off. ANYWAY. Sass decided to come to the BBQ tonight with me. Problem: she'd thought David was a newcastle boy when she interrogated him, and had let loose. Now she discovers that I'm walking over to John's with said David tonight.
Enter Hortensia. Like Sass, she is a Catholic, and tentatively interested in UCASTSA provided we don't try to convert her. She was unable to come to bible study today because of a class, which is a TERRIBLE pity. Hortensia arrived in my room at about ten to seven, as David and I were finishing our cups of tea. Hortensia introduced herself to David and asked me if I'd seen Sass today- apparently Sass was really freaking out about English.
Me: Well, she was fine in bible study...
H: she went to bible study?
Me: *gives rundown of bible study and the Union of Gender Studies Students*
So Hortensia, David and I headed out. We stopped at Sass' room on the way, because David wanted to be introduced, but she didn't seem to be in.
Me: I think she heard there was a man in the building, she's hiding
H: But she's got a man of her own, remember
Me: I KNOW! He never goes away, isn't it annoying?
H: Oh, I think he's sweet. He fixed her ceiling, you know... I want one like that, don't you?
*various small bits of conversation ensue*
H: Isn't Sass just the most gorgeous woman you know?
Me: not really, no.
H: So much prettier than Laura. And of course I hate her, she's far prettier than me.
Me: And she looks better than me in all my clothes, bitch!
So inside we went. I introduced Hortensia to all those whom Sass had met at bible study, and then a few others. Only Mel Dorrington couldn't handly the unusual similarities between the two... (:P)
Eventually we gave up (Hortensia, i explained, felt a burning need to go to confession *snigger*). Of course then i introduced Sass to Jimbo, and the look of puzzlement on David's face as he heard the name 'Sass' mentioned and then looked up and saw who was claiming it was well worth seeing.
Sass would be brilliant to do theatre sports with, I haven't met anyone more fun to act off than her, aside from Chris. We then went on to spot-compose Bad Teenage Suicide Poetry, a line each. That was fun :D
