Computer running hot, fan going mad. Firefox responding slowly (other programs seem fine, but then, I'm not running any other large programs).

*kicks it* I would run a defrag but BLOODY VISTA DOESN'T NEED DEFRAGGING. What's a girl supposed to do?

Maybe try changing the power settings? It's more of a temporary fix than anything else, but it did make my comp stop freaking out the last time it was doing so. Go to control panel, then "change battery settings" under Mobile PC (at least on my Dell), and change it to either the recommended plan or the power saver plan.

Of course, my computer still likes to freeze several times a day, so I'm not really the one to go to for computer advice.

It's not running ON battery, that's the weird thing. It's plugged in most of the time.

My housemate's computer's throwing the same tantrum. We think it's the latest firefox update screwing with us.

It might help even if it's plugged in -- I never take my computer off the plug at school, and, well. *shrug*

...and this is why I don't use Firefox...well, that and Firefox makes me twitch on PCs.
