*groans* honestly. it makes no sense. I go into Fisher, and say: i need a new student card, my wallet was stolen. And what do they say? 'Can we see photo ID?' DUH!
so i go and get proof from the Student Centre that i am in fact me. Then i see a sign saying that Fisher does not take cash. I ask if this is true. The Student Centre say, why, yes it is. I need a creditcard or keycard, or my Fisher photocopy card (for which i used my drivers' licence). DUH!
so, thouroughly pissed off, i headed down to the chaplaincy. along the way i was accosted by a redhead who obviously knew me, and seeing my distressed state, stopped to ask what was wrong. I know this person. I have NO CLUE who she is.
thankfully, Sydney came and paid for the card for me... so i now owe her twenty.
the Union are much more sensible, they take cash payment for replacment member cards, and it only took five minutes. Tomorrow i have to head down to CityRail to pay them eighteen dollars for a blue sticker which will allow me to catch trains/buses/ect for half fare.
*mutters* i had about twenty dollars worth of travel passes in that wallet...
doesn't help that everything seemed to come crashing down on me today... shouldn't have rung Will yesterday, shoulda waited till i was feeling icky :P
still, i love my uni:
'Welcome to the Woolley Maze: If you succeed in navigating the Woolley Building, gaining a degree will be a peice of cake!'
(i think that sign was put up before they invented the New Education Building. There needs to be a Bachelor of Finding Stuff in the New Ed. Building)
oh- and GREAT postcard haul today :D
