today was a Good Day. Picked up the special entry note from John, found a book sale in Wooley and bought a kids book called 'In My Father's Room', then headed down to the Oweek stalls. Found and joined the Inner Child Society (yay!), the Tolkien Society and the Medieval Society. Must join SUKTEH tomorrow 'cos David says they're giving away discount cards for Dymocks :D:D:D
Bought nice Gandalf and Aragorn badges at the Tolkien stall... Didn't buy an Inner Child Tshirt because they don't have teddies on them this year :(. But I've got a lovely UCASTSA tshirt, which i still have to pay for, which reads 'Who Would Jesus Bomb???'
Must check with Mum whether I'm allowed to wear that at home :/ I don't THINK dad would mind... but i suspect he wouldn't get the joke either.

I am SO TIRED! no idea why, my subconcious adjusted to the traffic ridiculously fast- yesterday i woke up at seven thirty panicking because i thought it was peak hour already, today i slept till ten. Meaning i missed breakfast, GRUMPY!

some IDIOT, or very malicious person, put UCASTSA right next to the Liberal Party. one loudmouth came over and attacked us for a while... and they tried to drown us out with repeated and very loud recordings of the US national anthemn. They stopped playing our anthem at about two oclock (understandable, it's a pretty terrible anthemn, but still). DICKHEADS WANKERS FUCKING BASTARDS!!!!!

tomorrow have to face the Faculty of Arts to change my enrollment... aarrgh... better get up VERY EARLY. in fact, that's a good idea. if i get down there at nine or nine thirty, there might be less of a queue.

if i hadn't already bought you a bday present, you'd be getting one...

why didn't i think of that earlier? it'd be a damn sight easier to post... maybe next year.

how long does it take before the soles of ones feet get used to roads and things and stop hurting?

It takes a bit; I know. =P On particular toes it didn't really harden, and if I barefooted around too much it would start turning the skin into strips and such.... though for the soles... just keep doing it, but don't overpush your poor feet.

Oh, and don in residence went to Jamaica over mid-February break. While there, she saw a bag saying "barefoot is a state of mind." =D

Well... "Reading Week" (mid-ish Feb) was created as that was when student suicide rates rose.... so a break was created... and since then, those have declined. Some universities in Canada (three that I can think of; two in Ontario) have a similar sort of break week during Fall [Autumn] term.

*when it was observed that student suicides rose noticeably at that time

[changed because I had noticed...noticeably]
