it occurred to me today that i forgot to chronicle this particularly comic incident.

My mother sought to hire the Williamtown community hall, therein to conduct a bush dance. To this end, she delved into the internet and discovered there the telephone number whereby she might book said hall. Boldly my mother did brave the telephone, for to contact a person by the name of Feil, who administered the hall in question. Her quest hung in the balance when the telephone was answered; it was a woman, a woman of a particularly small voice. Not knowing if Feil might be this woman or not, my mother did ask to speak to Feil.
Saith the woman: 'Oh... oh, why were you wanting to speak to him?' Accordingly my mother did elucidate her purpose. And thus spake the woman:
'Oh! I'm sorry... Feil has passed on. He was my own dear husband, you know.'
My mother, who had not known this at all, was rendered speechless. At length she stammered out her apologies.
'Oh, no, i don't blame you,' continued the widow of Feil. 'I've told the council to take his name down...'
And the widow of Feil did provide my mother with another telephone number, whereby she was able to book the Williamtown hall, and her quest was fulfilled.
