Lilyface! What are you doing this weekend? I wants to see you. And also make pie with you. Perhaps you are out of credit, and I do not have your email address, although if you're out of internet as well then this is a hopeless endeavour.

Lucy and I and a friend of Lucy's are going skating on Saturday afternoon, 1.30, if you want to come? Additionally, I am free both Saturday and Sunday nights around dinnertime, although on Saturday night I have a tellingbone call to make at 10.30pm and Sunday afternoon I has a date with the library. (And, uh, I don't know how we would get you back to uni on Sunday night, blasted buses stop at, like, 7pm)

Ack! Yes, I am out of credit, and I am not internetless but I haven't gone on in a couple days due to New Book and also, uh, a rather overenthusiastic night out last night, and I am very sorry!

Um... I might actually have to pass on the ice skating thing, it can be fun but I am RIDICULOUSLY bad at it and always end up falling over so many times I lose count and last time I went the bruises on my knees lasted for, like, a week, I don't think I can face that right now. :( But maybe dinner Saturday? There could be pie! And I could cook dinner as well, what kind of thing do you like? I am good at one-pot things like curries and stews (and I have half a jar of Thai red curry paste in my fridge, which could be handy, or I also have finally found barley for putting in soups and stews and things!) and I also do a good eggplant bake. Or if you have long-grain rice I could do jambalaya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jambalaya), I usually put in chicken and chorizo and capiscum and sometimes snowpeas. Do you live close to a supermarket?

Um, I probably won't be buying credit for a little while (I would SO much rather spend my money on decent food) but my email is lastwingedthing@gmail.com, I'll hopefully be up by ten or eleven or so tomorrow and will check it then.

Also, with pie: actually I was thinking of making this (http://smittenkitchen.com/2009/01/flaky-blood-orange-tart/) again, except with normal oranges because they're cheap and tasty right now, and with a few other changes (like not having to freeze it overnight!). But if you have other fruit or something that needs using up that would also be fine! I mostly just want an excuse to make That Sauce again, OMG it is like the best thing in the entire world, I may have been caught sitting at the stovetop eating it out of the saucepan with a spoon. MAYBE. But it is very sweet and strong, probably wouldn't work with milder/sweeter fruit. It's really up to you! Though I should warn you that I have made pie from scratch precisely ONCE before and am mostly just looking for a chance to experiment. IT MAY ALL END IN TEARS. JUST SO YOU KNOW.
