My MP3 player just decided to play first Missy Higgins and then My Chemical Romance. I presume I must have put them on there, but I have no idea why, because I don't actually LIKE either of them (for much the same reason: both Missy's voice and Gerard's usually grate on me like fingernails on a blackboard). I know Missy Higgins' songs quite well, and had hummed my way through the whole album before I realised who it was and that it had been more enjoyable than usual. I had to actually go and check the MP3 player to find out what the next album was, because I found it sufficiently enjoyable to be distracted from my writing, and yet was not aggravated by it.
So, er, apparently the way to change my taste in music is stealth attack! Or possibly my brain has been chewed up by writing. One or the other.
Also, I am having spaghetti bolognaise for afternoon tea. Because I can, dammit. Regular mealtimes are for people who aren't writing.
