They did, but in the fixing, they must've messed up something with the power supply. Battery won't re-charge.

I did that once, sort of. Dropped my computer on its power chord and stuffed the charging process up.

Nah, he was a nice bloke. The computer was being weird and he had to take it apart three times to get it to go at all: we suspect the new motherboard might be a bit whacky.
