i thought i remembered seeing an option to not show friends' avvys on your friends page & comments page, but i can't find it/them... does anyone know where they are? (I'm preparing for my exile in the land of dialup)

also, Jenna, for above mentioned dialup reasons, i shan't be frequenting ViggoStills for a few months... please don't hate me :(

Why is it that when broadband users have to revert to using dialup for a while that they think it's the end of the world? It isn't THAT bad. Sure, broadband is a lot more convenient for downloads and large webpages, but 56k is fine for browsing... Yes it's slower, but you still don't have to wait forever for things to load... The viggo_stills voting page takes no more than about 2 minutes...

Be glad you have access to broadband at all =(

it's not just dialup, it's thirty hours of dialup a month between four people. time is a precious commodity. and it's NEVER 56 k. more like 38, 45 on a good day. If i had the compy to myself, i'd do everything the same as usual, but i don't. We only have one line, too, and people do like to use the telephone sometimes.

I already tried image placeholders, it doesn't do anything for avvies, sadly. Thanks though ;)

Ah, now that's a different story. That really DOES suck =P It's just that I have friends who have complained because they have to use dialup for a month, when it's just two people using it, at 56k, for however long they want *rolls eyes*

Hehe. I have to enjoy unlimited internet access while I can; my sister finishes school sometime next week, I think, which means she'll be around to bug me. Oh how I wish the year 10s didn't finish at the same time as the year 11s... when I was in year 10, we finished a couple of weeks after them - that changed when I was in year 11 *rolls eyes* it's so typical. But anyway. Lmao, I've managed to turn this comment into a story that didn't really have anything to do with my original plan for the comment... O_o
