Scuse ignorance, but what is a Brepols book?

Brepols is one of the big academic publishers, based in Turnhout, Belgium. They only publish awesome things. At the moment they're doing a series called 'Studies in the Early Middle Ages', so by 'the new Brepols book', early medievalists understand that one means 'the new volume in the COMPLETELY AWESOME SERIES OF AWESOME'. Wonky logic and fluffy thinking just don't get into these books. Big name scholars, hard-core source studies, and so on.

Well now, did you know they're only a short distance away from where we're living now? I'll have to take a day trip and soak up some of the Awesome :D

They also run the International Medieval Database, which is a fiend but also fiendishly useful...

I presumed they weren't too far away from you, belgium isn't BIG or anything :P

No it isn't, but when you live here you'd be amazed how Brussels (for example) suddenly seems so very far away. I am becoming soft.
