:D I have Where's My Cow. My life is once again complete ;)
Seriously. This is brilliant. The pictures, all the little Discworldian references, and Pratchett's author pic in the portrait on the wall...
Read it. Now. Let there be no question about this.
Also bought Coraline, some book by Isabel Allende, and the Jerle Shannara trilogy 'cos they cost five dollars for the whole trilogy.
And... I have the dress. It is purple and gold. It is silk. It is gorgeous. It has a loose thread in the back, need to find some way of getting that out without unravelling the whole thing. Will post pics later in the weekend.
Bought another pressie for my SS, too... hope she likes it, it wasn't even remotely on her list, but it is in her favorite colour ;)
Have forms for Over 18s Bush Camp :D Now to convince people to go with me...
Spoke to Will again for no reason this afternoon. When I got out of work there was a missed call on my phone from him. Rang him and apparently he'd been testing to see if he had my number right... I raved about Where's My Cow and promised to read it to him with appropriate farmyard noises if he comes to visit me when i get home.
I love bookshops... they're so lovely... So many things i want to read, though, it's slightly distressing. Entered a compettition to win the entire Angus & Robertson Top 100 Books... which includes the Bible at number seven, i think... hehe, i'm imagining some poor atheist booklover lumped with it just 'cos he wanted the other 99 books...
wrote practice essay for english... hand hurt after fifteen minutes, this does not bode well. Also have only one topic prepared for Section C, i hope the question is the obvious one and not something snarky, or i'll be up the proverbial creek without the proverbial paddle.

Date: 2005-11-11 10:36 pm (UTC)15 min section where you have to pic out given grammatical features; then aprox. thirty five min. each for the next two; analysis of time in the section we were given, i hope you have it 'cos we were supposed to prepare the analysis. it's on WebCT too.
Then pick an essay question- POV in novel or film, story & discourse in both, Sassure (must have examples from novel or film), or the usefulness of functional grammar (must have examples)
Supposed to prepare two of those q. and pick one when we get in there.
