aaaand... the college printer prints my title page *fluorescent green*.
And Family First are agitating for compulsory net filtering to block all content rated X-18+ or refused rating. On the other hand, the Opposition have declared their intention to, y'know, actually oppose something. *Is not used to this feeling of warmth and support for capital-L Liberal politicians*

Besides the green (a perfectly respectable colour for a serious academic document, one should think), how'd the thesis handing in go?
Oh hey, by the way, it's occured to me now that my brain is starting to work again (though not very well - god I'm sick of being sick!), I don't think I formally RSVPed for your party. Did bumping into you randomly and mentioning it the other week count? And if not, can it? :D

Date: 2008-10-27 09:10 am (UTC)Now I'm faced with the terrible fact that my standard policy of 'hate the government, tolerate the opposition' puts me in a position where I may have to extol the virtues of the Liberal Party. Never thought I'd see the day.
It, er, went. It's in. AND THEN I WENT AND BOUGHT BOOKS OMG.

Date: 2008-10-27 09:31 am (UTC)It's weird - both parties have become so conservative in recent years, but still they loathe one another. Which leads to the feeling that the opposition condemns government movements because they like insulting the government itself, with a distinct lack of real strong, well argued disagreement over the proposals themselves.
I was going to say that if more of the public knew about the filter, it'd stand much less chance of getting through, especially with the opposition on side. But then I thought of Work Choices, and that thought sort of flew out the window.
Congratulations! I'm sure it's great. And if not, hey, at least it's done. You get to be a normal person again! And BUYING THINGS MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER. EVERYTHING.
Oh good. I like it when you're da boss. :)
