i go over to the bank this morning to change some fifties and twenties into fives for us. the two people in front of me have huge and complext banking issues to sort out, i'm standing there for AGES. until, fortuitously, the cute young guy looks up from whatever he's doing, sees me, smiles, looks around, comes up to the front desk, says 'did you just want change? i'll do that for you.'
then things started to get silly, because no sooner had i got back to Ben in the shop than he wanted me to go BACK to the bank, and get us more fifty dollar notes (as i'd just changed our last two for fives). So back i trot, bearing bags of coins. The dull guy with the big nose serves me, i get laughed at by the cute guy... and then this afternoon i have to go back AGAIN, to change another fifty into fives. I'm now some kind of weird bank-stalker.
