That is awesome. In an age where secularism seems to reign, it's rare but fascinating to see something like this.
Such a story does, however, make me stop to wonder what such vows mean in a society like our own, what they stand for, and how they affect someone. I'm especially wondering about the ways that such vows worked for Christians a thousand years ago and the connections or contrasts to the same vows now.
