So, I am now the proud, if slightly perplexed, owner of a Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 Player. Which is very pretty, but seems not to function as a USB drive. (Sadly, since I don't own one anymore.) What's more, it won't show up in My Computer as a storage device and the instructions say it will only work in Media Player. Winamp is offering to manage it for me, but that means I'll have to transfer my library into it... Sigh, the trials of technology.

Also, I like coming home. Shopping with one's mother is an excellent passtime. I now own a tea-pot mat decorated with ampersands, and some new and expensive skin care products.
