and it's friday at last...
Oct. 14th, 2005 07:03 pm*sigh*
am feeling almost functional at the moment, but it probably won't last. I'm just ridiculously exhausted at the moment...
Had one of those crazy dream sequences last night, the kind that when you wake up you can't remember how all the pieces fitted together. Hagrid featured prominently- he was driving a minivan and kept getting pulled up for reckless driving. Not entirely sure what he was driving for, or where to, but it might have been to go and rescue Lukas. Lukas was lost in the Sydney public transport system, having caught a train here from Woollongong, and it was imperative to find him before his mother discovered that we'd lost him. Who 'we' was, aside from me and possibly Hagrid, i'm not sure. There was certainly someone else, as I was not personally hunting for him, due to a fashion parade. I have a feeling I was a fashion designer for said parade, and Josh was modelling my range (sorry Josh :S. subjecting you to my fashion taste probably classifies as Cruel and Unusual). There was an extraordinarily tall lady in high heels, who was in some way involved with the parade, and she kept congratulating me on finding him, because he was such a great discovery.
And then I woke up. I think Hagrid crashed the minivan.
Then... I was so running on time this morning, i was going to make the early bus for work and everything... then there was a fire drill. who has fire drills five weeks before we all move out?
and because i had to run off to work, i missed the peace-offering hot breakfast :(
Work was a hazy blur... bonus being that when i went to the bank a) we got the ten cent coins in the paper bundles so i got to bang them on the bench to crack the paper, and b) i was served by the cute guy with the good hair, as opposed to the gawky man with the nose, or the lady with the three-foot fingernails.
had to go on a quest to Coles for straws... had never been to Coles before, it's up in the top of Winyard station. Surprisingly, I did not get lost.
Made up for it, though, by catching the wrong bus this afternoon. I got on Kingsford via Roseberry, rather than Kingsgrove via Newtown... fortunately i noticed before we'd got too far from central, walked round the back of the park thing there and got on my normal bus.
Came home, rang Will for his birthday... He's definitely coming down week after next, yay! And he was very impressed with the first instalment of his present, namely a 'Beware of the God' postcard/sticker thing.
Then went to bed with Cookies n Cream flavoured tea (sounds weird, but very good stuff), and LOTR commentaries :D
Tracking back over the last few days... UCATSA random discussion topic of the week: pregnancy, gory details thereof. wtf?
mmm... tired now. going to vague out with the next disc of LOTR...
