an excellently written article on homosexuality in high school in the SMH today includes the following fabulous quotes:

"I may be a faggot, sir, but you are a fool. My people get parades, what do your people get?"

I do try to be more like the well-trained, urbane, television homosexuals. I really do.

I was going to say I take exception to many things in this article, and I think that the gay generation gap is stupid, but then I was distracted: did he seriously pose like that for the paper?

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure what to make of that last statement... from my experience wealthy, white, middle-aged metropolitan men have little to do with any current gay rights movement... when they're already so comfortable there's little need to be politically active.
