there's a first time for everything...
Sep. 11th, 2005 12:24 pmnew things what happened to me today:
have been:
*holy watered
*incensed
have by dint of copying everyone else:
*made appropriate genuflections to alter
*crossed self at apparently random intervals
*spent service kneeling and un-kneeling, again at apparently random intervals
have also said hail marys.
and all this in an ANGLICAN church, not catholic. thus have also taken high anglican communion for second time in whole life.
my poor little low-church protestant bones protest.
however, it WAS choral mass, in gregorian chanting style. this was pretty. shall go again, methinks. but shall first get crosssing-self lessons from my friendly local catholics.
mood: quite 'appy, thankee
music: U2- When Love Comes to Town
book: Rabi'a the Mystic and Her Fellow Saints in Islam- Margaret Smith. am doing an assignment on Sufism, it's not that weird! I like Rabi'a, anyway.
