Spontaneous dessert indulgence
Aug. 3rd, 2014 09:06 pm8.30pm at the end of a long weekend and I'm finally bored with being alone and crocheting. So I considered 1. making a decadent dessert or 2. going running. Obviously #1 won.
This is entirely based on 'what was in my house'. A variety of other fruits, liquers and dairy or fats might be used. Just don't put water in the chocolate sauce.
Slice 1 x apple thinly. Place in a pan with about 50grams of butter, diced, on medium heat. Stir occasionally to caramelise on all sides. When the apple sugars start to caramelise, chop up a bannana and add it into the mix.
Meanwhile, take about 75 grams chocolate and about 25 grams butter. Dice, and place in a pan over low heat. Stir frequently to avoid burning.
Toss 1 shot of whisky into the fruit mix, and increase frequency of stirring so as to mix through properly.
Add 2-3 tbsp plain yoghurt to the chocolate mix, and stir well.
Serve caramelised fruit with chocolate sauce on top. Makes 2-3 portions.
