on committing my Heinous Sin for the week

highlyeccentricjust fronted up to Paul's chapel late (was misinformed as to time), in ugg boots and without acca gown.
Figured i might as well turn it into a Statement, and resolutely marched down the middle of the church (one of those ones which faces inwards) in my purple ugg boots for communion, despite my general lack of enthusiasm for high anglican communion.
i think i'll put proper shoes on next week. but probably not the gown. might as well keep my non-elitist statement.
oh, and some people make me VERY VERY ANGRY. When the kitchenhand comes out carrying a big metal tin of hot chips, you move aside and let her tip the chips into the dish. Or, at most, you quickly grab your chips and move off. You do not stand there for three minutes transferring them two by two onto your spoilt richgirl plate!
poor woman. she turns to me and says 'sometimes the students, they don't let you in. that's what i usually notice. they don't let you in. in my country we don't do that. we are polite, they move aside.'
sometimes i am ashamed to be here... they treat the cleaners like a foreign species. and think it's OK to leave half-eaten plates of food all over the kitchenettes (or worse, lying in the corridor) for the cleaner to deal with. Not to mention doing so on friday, when the cleaners aren't in all weekend and the stuff just festers.
current read: finished Past Mortem. Very good, but not sure how it got the tag of 'black humour'. Kinda disturbing, actually...
current music: I Will Not Go Quitely- The Whitlams
current mood: again, can't be bothered with moods. 'cept for a breif bout of Righteous Anger, as outlined above.
