highlyeccentricAnyone got any academic recommendations for the way race is constructed in high medieval romance, especially Wolfram von Eschenbach? Period surveys also good - I can talk a bit about the way race/religion binaries work in the Chanson de Roland, but it's a long time since I read anything structured on that, either.
