Once again, Dreamwidth make me proud to be here. Albeit with a shade of "waaaah nasty people attacking my HOME! It seems the trolls behind the current intimidation campaign are not the exact same people as those who kick-started LJ's Strikeout, but the situation seems similar (with added bonus personal intimidation and identity theft attempts). And Mark and Denise are handling this by sticking closely to their TOS, informing the user base, and not banning people willy-nilly.
If you are a DW user, please read the security information in the post above carefully, and check the site address carefully before logging in to DW. I assume that, if successful, the phishing attempts would lead to hacking individual accounts, and possibly to posting material which the trolls can use to discredit DW.
