... Proves that the effect of prolonged exposure to My Chemical Romance, when tested on Amy, is "fuck this, it's not angry enough. GIVE ME SILVERCHAIR."

Trojie points out that Nirvana have angry music covered, but I didn't come across them until I'd past the point where the anger/self-loathing cocktail was what really did it for me in a band.

you know what you need? You need the live version of 'Negative Creep' from The Muddy Banks of the Wishkah,, or the live version of 'Tourette's' from the same album.

But nobody is as angry or as awesome as Emilie Autumn and her screaming electric violin. Angry! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc3lqFySOAc) Her use of unusual historical music, historical and literary themes, and her orchestration choices (Most people don't go for the harpischord when they have something angry to say) make her my go-to for angry. And a lot more.

So I keep hearing! But no one's provided me with piratical access to her yet... but if ever I am in the vicinity of her CDS I shall buy, borrow or burn them.

I can't say I go for harpsichords when I'm feeling angry, but, boy, can the sound of a harpsichord INDUCE ME TO ANGER. Haha. Seriously. What's the deal with harpsichords.

(...I'm trying to think, now, if I have any anger-music. I'm not sure. I think 'intense' is as close as I get.)

I have her CDs, which I pirated, would you like a yousendit file? She has 4-5 CDs, "Enchanted" which has a lot of "fairy tale" elements to it, "Opheliac" which is a lot darker and much more angry, "Laced/Unlaced" which is a 2-disc set of classical music + violin music she wrote herself (some played on her classical violin, some played on her electric violin... "Unlaced", the angry electric violin side, is insanely awesome), "A Bit O This And That" which is a bunch of B-sides and covers, and "Your Sugar Sits Untouched", her book of poems read with her music playing behind them.

The angry stuff is mostly on Opheliac and Laced/Unlaced. But she has some beautiful, non-angry, very renaissance-y pieces like "Shalott" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpXdNaXYysk), "Juliet" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4HknxMtFdw), "Marry Me" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8Szt6F7K20), and O Mistress Mine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJCGSpcUPaA).

Lemme know if you're interested. :D

What's the deal with them? They were one of the forerunners of the piano and make tink-tink-tink noises when you play them. I think they're kind of cute.
