Anyway, point is, I went to Cairns for a week. Where I slept a lot, got rather too much baby spew on me for my liking, and saw some cool stuff. Photos might be forthcoming if I can get my act together.

Now I am at uni, and avoiding unpacking.

However, in the GREAT PRESENT MEME which brought me a Puppet Satan, i owe presents to phrasemuffin and daiskmeliadorn. Both of these were obtained in Cairns. Plus, I would like to see each of you. *waves hands incoherently*

In other news, I had a phantom cold all last week, and it just met the Goblin's Dreaded Lurgy and I supsect they're about to gang up on me.

YAY!!! You're on campus again!!! *convulses spasmodically* I'm going to be going in on Wednesday to become a union member/get an access card, and then go to my first SUMS rehearsal (6:30 at Bosch 4). Don't kow what time I'll be going in exactly, but if you want to meet up on Wednesday I'm sure I could write something in stone for you. I might be meeting Cynthia at some point though, so... perhaps you'll get to meet her?

I will be Around on wednesday, yes... suitable time cannae be said for certain, though, due to the O-week stall roster not yet being out for my Club of Choice, and there's some english honours thing in the afternoon.

Hey Phrasemuffin, you know how you said you're going to SUMS? When are the rehearsals this year? Because I wanted to join a choir, and I'm not good enough for St Pauls Chapel Choir, and also too atheist. And Womens College choir annoys me at the moment.

Last year, I seem to remember, SUMS' rehearsals clashed with SUWO's (uni concert band), so even if I'd wanted to go I couldn't have.

Rehearsals are from 6:30 to 9:30 on Wednesday nights. Tomorrow's is the first for the year. And in case you weren't aware, you need to be a union member if you want to be a proper SUMSter (i.e. perform in concerts). You can still rehearse without the membership, though. Something to keep in mind.

If the rehearsal wasn't so late in the day, this would probably be my third year in SUMS. That or if I'd had much later classes on Wednesdays in first year. At least this year it's only two and a half hours between class and rehearsal.

Yeah, I'm a union member. The very very cheap club entry fees plus my Howard-hating tendencies were what got me to join up last year.

My only problem with the late rehearsals is that it's at the same time as Spicks and Specks and House. Oh well, there's always *cough*downloads*cough*. Anyway, I'm used to late rehearsals, because SUWO's are 5.30 to 8.30 on Thursday nights. Thanks!

also, the universe has answered B's wishes and the university apparently now has a secular humanist society. if that happens to float your boat too.

True. I don't really know much about the madrigal society, apart from that they sing madrigals, obviously, and that they performed at that Medieval Dinner the uni held before Christmas.
