I've never made fruit mince! It's a mystery to me. I am baffled by fruit mince pies. I have had good home-made ones, but will probably never again due to gluten. The shop bought GF ones seem better than I remember my first encounter with shop-bought standard ones in Aus being, but perhaps I am being indoctrinated into the cult of fruit mince pies.
