highlyeccentric: Divide by cucumber error: reinstall universe and reboot (Divide by cucumber)
I do not know the meaning of hard work.
But I know what it means to adhere
to a schedule of diligent work-avoidance
as if it were a regular job: a strict routine
of wandering around and lying down
and brooding over wasted time.
I don’t like to mix business
with anything, least of all pleasure.

From a cycle of poems which seems to have been published as a chapbook, but I found it via Tumblr and the author's blog: a sonnet series called "The Inertia Variations"
highlyeccentric: Joie du livre - young girl with book (Joie du livre)
Read lately:

Pratchett and Gaiman, Good Omens: It had been far too long since last I read this. On the bright side, that meant many of the jokes came to me as good as new, and I sniggered my way through the whole thing. :)

Marcus Zusak, The Book Theif: I really enjoyed it but on reflection it had some weak spots as a literary-historical novel )

L.M. Montgomery, The Blythes are Quoted (ed. Benjamin Lefebvre): really fascinating )

And I've been working on this series for over a year now, and I finally finished...

Robin Hobb, The Rain Wild Chronicles: Whee, dragons! )
