Re: the possibility of it actually being hot in July in Europe

I am tossing up between

a) packing a men's short-sleeve button-up shirt

and

b) resolving that if it's too hot, that's just a great excuse to buy clothes in Europe.

Note that I have packed about... four days of clothes which I'd be perfectly happy to wear in 35+ degree weather (and if it's not humid, I'll wear jeans and t-shirts up to forty-something degrees). The red top with the waistcoat is a t-shirt, I'm taking three casual tees, and the blue button-up has sleeves that only come to the elbows.

My blue Connor button-up would be nice to have with me. I've only packed one item of Manly Clothing at current count. But on the other hand, space. Hmm.

Hot weather in Europe, my foot

I have scrutinised the forecasts for the next week or so. These are my opinions:

London: quite nice
Leeds: Bit chilly
Paris: rather nice. Hot, on occasion.
Tours: Nicely warm.
Brussels and thereabouts: Quite hot on Tuesday, proceeding down bit chilly for the rest of the week.

Also I spoke to zcat_abroad, who normally lives in Auckland (a respectable climate), and is currently in Yorkshire for various conferences. She says to bring long sleeves and jumpers.
