what's with this weather anyway?
Jul. 27th, 2005 12:21 pmi mean, honestly. it is July. July, if you recall correctly, being the COLDEST month. and August being nearly as bad, but with more wind and stuff than actual cold.
Yet by some obscure weather development, the snap has gone out of the air- the humidity is back, the air holds heat after dark (in fact it's frequently warmer outside than in at night), and all in all i think its SCREWED.
rather nice, though. I'm itching to start wearing summer clotheses again.
Hiked down to the copy shop again. Half an hour and eighty-nine dollars later, i have my course notes for the semester, with fancy USyd covers costing two whole dollars more than the plain colour-coded ones did. and colour coding, when you think about it, would be MUCH more sensible.
Getting urges to spend sixty dollars on those nice USyd sports cardigan things. *slaps self gently* no.
also arranged a bunch of photos to get printed off proffessionally, for the adding to Stuff on Walls. Walls are looking good (which is to say, you can't see much of them anymore). There wouldn't be an A3-sized blank space, except up near the window, and very few A4 sized gaps. This is a satisfactory state of affairs. :D
Now i guess i need to start on some work... and need to figure out where the Education Annex is (or rather, how to get to it, its easy to find but doesn't have ground floor entry) for Bible Study.
Helen wants me to act as tour guide for some high school lunch here tomorrow... i'll barely be back in time, and barely able to talk due to braces, but hey, why not. Eating the fancy lunch after having bottom row on might be intersting too. But still, i haven't put much effort into establishing myself as favoured student this year, which might explain why i'm not one... helps to keep staff onside, i guess.
lunch now. more update later.
