highlyeccentricabout to head out for International Talk Like A Pirate Day!
update: been down to the Chaplaincy for my Talk with Emma... have reassured her of my emotional stability. Have proved insanity by turning up in piratical attire (nicely timed to arrive just after andrew sent her a 'yarr!' message)
andrew himself appeared, and we yarr-ed and arrr-ed, and i threatened to castrate him with my cutlass if he called me 'buxom wench' :D
LE ARR!: saw John on the way to French (not the chaplain), reproved him for his lack of piratical enthusiam. He was very nicely dressed, as usual, but it's just not good enough.
Saw Ethan afterwards, and he was entirely unaware of the whole pirate thing. Whilst talking to him, was hailed by short, hairy, rather Irish-sounding guy who swore he hadn't stopped talking like a pirate all day.
have french oral exam info. sadly no question about pirates. BONUS! however, in that there is no groupwork involved this time.
lunch in women's college dining hall dressed as pirate is interesting. Was very impressed with Sara, she knew what was going on. As did Helen, but that's typical for Helen ;)
the end of ARRR!: must remove pirate gear before formal dinner :( most of it's washed off anyway... got rained on on the way from class.
however, went shopping. got interesting looks at icecream shop, and even weirder looks from the chemist clinique counter. i think they wondered what i was going to do with the stuff i was buying... (and *bounce* got a bonus gift, with all sorts of makeup i'm unlikely to ever use)
annoyed. good postcard has gone from Manning postcard stand.
