Country Towns
Jul. 19th, 2007 03:33 pmThe Good Thing About Country Towns (or so it is often said) is that the locals are cheery, and they feel free to smile and say hi to anyone. This may or may not be true, depending on the local in question
The Bad Thing About Country Towns (as discovered by Highlyeccentric) is that these selfsame cheery locals feel free to comment on one's driving and tell you how to improve your parking skills.
Hmph. Maitland-dwellers. I'm heading back to Sydney in a few days. No one laughs at you if you can't figure out Sydney Buses, because no one can figure out Sydney Buses.

libraries
Date: 2007-07-19 06:45 am (UTC)the good thing about libraries (or so it is often said) is that they are silent places to read and reflect
the bad thing about libraries (as discovered by daiskmeliadorn) is that they are either silent and boring, or there are people behind a wall laughing and having a good time so they are not silent and you wish you were on the other side of the wall; and you get pretty sick of reading and incapable of reflecting after a while.
at least no-one's laughing at me i guess. well, i don't think they are. *looks around paranoid-ly*
