highlyeccentric^^mostly useless fact for the day^^
well, i'm back... seem to have picked up a cold, or possibly allergies, while at home. Feeling stuffed up and run down, and worn out and done in. (yes, i'm very proud of that sentence :D)
my parents are going to start thinking this uni business is bad for my health... whenever i go home i sleep >12 hours straight, and then want to go straight back to bed.
Things What I Have Learnt Last Weekend
1. Do not travel without carrying every timetable you own. However, when carrying them, it is probably best to assume they are wrong, anyway. Especially if they are produced by Blue Ribbon.
2. Transport hates me. The feeling is mutual.
3. Bush Dancing ought not to be done without a skirt.
4. Therefore, remember to pack shoes such as can be worn with a skirt.
5. When dancing a non-progressive barn dance, it is best to nab the male part, as the female gets very dizzy very fast.
so... had a nice visit with Chris, when i finally managed to get there. Slept all of Sunday morning, then headed out for Lyn's farewell. It was run by some pompous guy from Presbytery... *mutters* we got told off after Nancy's farewell service for not doing it 'properly', but if you ask me most of this was way too formulaic and didn't mean much at all.
but the dance was fun :D although 'tis a pity it wasn't one i could invite Chris to. The Gallopede is no fun at all without Chris. PLUS Keith cut one step out of the dance so as to compensate for having a double-size set... which was horribly confusing for the likes of Naomi and meseslf, who know these things far too well.
hehe... I'm so going to have a bush dance wedding... the guys did one of those a few months back, apparently it was a riot. although the cake was atrocious, dad took photos.
mmm... cake... mum did a cake for Lyn :D so we got big hunks of mud cake scraps for desert on saturday, and the actual thing last night.
rah kidnapped me and took me down to New Lambton for the evening. Was a nice service... good selection of songs :D Managed for the first time in years to get through a rendition of 'Together' without wanting to burst into tears. This is cause for celebration.
Phil and Jill are pregnant! so we're about to have a new Newton to add to the oligarchy :P
shocked just how ill joel is... we had to leave him at home this morning, he couldn't manage the walk from his room to the front door. :\ i just dunno what's going to happen there.
hmm.. have just eaten half a pack of tiny teddies in one go. :\
