No, it's possibly descended from that crossed with the sort of large orange pumpkin that gets sold here in 'tranche de courge' hunks? It looks like this (taste.com.au have it as Kent pumpkin, which is a better name except i've never seen it called that actually in a supermarket. Plus not useful in international communication as it bears no relation to Kent in any way).
