highlyeccentric: Anglo-Saxonists decline to do it (Naked Philologist)

Hey hey, heads up

This flist has grown and gathered a whole bunch of new people in the last year. Let it be stated, in case any of you happen to be interested, that I have a SRSFACE Medievalist Blog, entitled The Naked Philologist. I only update very sporadically at the moment, but I'm going to try to get back into the habit, because blogging = thinking, and thinking is necessary for returning to academia.

Currently, we're hearing more about my good old "WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WITH THIS USELESS FIELD" angst. ;)

See, now that's integral to how I came to subscribe to you - I'd had TNP in my (rather extensive) bookmarks collection for quite a while (a couple of years maybe? I seem to recall discovering it via some mention by Figleaf, though I could be misremembering), but kept having it, like so many things, fall off my radar and be reading-neglected (see "rather extensive" above - so many good blogs/sites, so little time). I don't recall how I ran across you on DW, but somewhere in there was a little bell in my memory: "Wait, isn't that...," [check appropriate sub-sub-file in bookmark pulldown menu] "...yes, yes it is her." So I perused what you were posting here, decided that, yes, it's often the sort of thing I want to find on my Reading Page, and subbed.

I think I said little or nothing about that before (though I could be mistaken) - so now you know.

Yeah, I think you subbed back right away. So far I haven't seen a need to lock any posts (I write to be read, and to have conversations, and for those convos to not just be in an echo chamber of buddies; if I just want to verbalize private stuff in my head, I figure dead trees tell no tales), so access is largely symbolic - symbol activated!
