Well, *I* don't put historically innacurate things in my mouth...

This principle is something I felt the need to articulate this week, as a result of discovering first the latest abuse of the Not-Viking-Helmet, and then the latest in 'protective' gear*

Originally, circle A had been entirely encompassed by circle B, but after my terrible efforts at pronunciation this week...
And circle B had originally been much larger, but as I was gnawing on my pen and chewing my fingernails just now, I think I may have overestimated it somewhat.

I feel like I should say something significant about the medieval in modern culture, and the fact that you can dress your manly-bits up heroically, but instead, I shall leave you with the following advice: if your bedroom ego is inflated by the addition of chain-mail or faux-viking helmets, for the love of Bede make sure your chosen partner is a modern historian.**

*Both work safe, although if extra conscientious, avoid the first.
**Speaking of advice, check out the strangest response I've ever had to my blogging

That's the best advice I've ever heard.

I've spent the last five minutes thinking about that chainmail condom, and rocking back and forth and shaking my head. My brain won't accept it.

In regards to the hats: I actually didn't know what those were for until after I looked at them for about 30 seconds. I thought the headline was referring to ... gosh, I don't even know. Bad behavior, or something. I guess I hang out on the internet too much and took the word as merely an insult.

I thought "my those hats look very simple, as if they are made of chocolate or something", then I realized they were candy, and then I realized that I am not capable of wearing such a hat.

*giggles*

I'm waiting to see if this makes it into Dr Noke's medieval round up... he's been linking to every medieval post i make lately, but i BET this one doesn't make it.

Heehee! Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised either. He's too much a dad, methinks.

surely the chocolate would be an improvement, though?

(p.s. glad for the opportunity to use my 'coffs harbour' icon)

not if it's in historically innacurate shapes! it's the principle of the thing...

also, i am assured by People Who Know Such Things that sex chocolate never tastes much good anyway.

haha, now there is a market that should be exploited

[identity profile] highlyeccentric.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
good tasting, historically accurate sex chocolate?

[identity profile] daiskmeliadorn.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
ooooh yeah!

maybe my post-thesis project? it'd have to be related to lesbian nuns somehow...

[identity profile] highlyeccentric.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 09:29 am (UTC)(link)
i bet lesbian nuns would like *theologically accurate* quality sex chocolate!
