Point 2, re: makeup - I do the same thing. Today is the third day in a row I've worn it - I even got up EARLY on Wednesday and this morning to do so. I won't go out tomorrow, so I won't bother, I might go out on Sunday and *might* bother, but come next Wednesday and facing the prospect of having to get up early just so I can apply makeup, I'll probably choose to sleep the extra 15 minutes!
