Haha, my bookshelf is also arranged a little oddly... we have Tolkien and Lewis on one shelf (OTP?), because my Tolkien collection isn't big enough for a full shelf, a shelf that is "English history AND literature till 1650" with history on one side and literature on the other (the history side looks bigger, which isn't my fault, my medieval texts are all sized like paperbacks, and history books tend to come in tradeback size) which also harbors my collection of poems, some of which are not English but rather Russian, a shelf that you might call "Arthurian and Sailing" because the Arthurian books are oversized, and the seafaring books belong to my brother (various things there; some Napoleonic, some golden age of piracy, one about Elizabeth's seadogs), another shelf which is "fiction, religion, languages (teach yourself Latin and Russian guides), and herblore", which is largely populated by my collection of Terry Pratchett, and finally a shelf which is "knitting magazines and DVDs".

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to make all those important books fit. :)
