Brepols is one of the big academic publishers, based in Turnhout, Belgium. They only publish awesome things. At the moment they're doing a series called 'Studies in the Early Middle Ages', so by 'the new Brepols book', early medievalists understand that one means 'the new volume in the COMPLETELY AWESOME SERIES OF AWESOME'. Wonky logic and fluffy thinking just don't get into these books. Big name scholars, hard-core source studies, and so on.
